American School with Brazilians

This week we went to an American school that they have here in Recife to teach some Brazilian kids there how to play American sports. They are kids from all over Brazil who are learning and studying English. They speak really well, so we only spoke to them in English the whole time we were with them. We started teaching them some baseball and then moved to basketball. They were a little slow to get the hang of things at first, but they caught on. It was a lot of fun to be able to teach and play with them.

Me with my friend Caio, teaching him the ropes.

Implementing a few skills I learned from my 2-Sweet days.

Teaching the kids the proper shooting form.

They started getting the hang of it!

The whole group, all of us and all of them.

A few days later, the group leader gave us a call inviting us to hang out with them again and come to their going away party. They were all excited to see us again and after some singing and dancing and consumption of pizza, they all wanted to take pictures with us. I felt like a rock star or something because they were all so excited to take pictures with me, it was a lot of fun though, they are good kids.

We played some karaoke, one of my favorite pastimes!
