Catamaran Tour Through Recife

This Friday when we were in downtown we also had the chance to take a catamaran tour through the branches of the ocean that go throughout the city of Recife. For you to get a good idea about what the city looks like with these branches, I rented a jet-pack and flew over the city to snap the following picture:

Our boat ride started at the top of the picture, and we went around the whole bay, going under all of those bridges. There were quite a few bridges that we went under, (as you can see in the picture) and whenever we went under one of them everybody on the boat applauded. This is tradition to receive good luck and for your wishes to come true.

One of the branches of the ocean that we went on earlier in the day before we got on the boat.

This is a statue we floated by called the "Monumento de Brennand".

Some of the buildings and one of the bridges behind me.

A few fishermen that we rode past bringing their net back into the boat.

The sun going down behind some building with some more Portuguese influenced architecture.

A few bigger boats at the dock.

Our catamaran right after our tour, it lasted about an hour.
